POSITION: OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR - LOCATION: CHALLOCK NR. ASHFORD

Johnsons is a privately-owned family run business which has expanded and will continue to throughout 2019 and beyond. Due to this ongoing expansion and the growth of our Hot Tub division, we require an Experienced Office Administrator to Join our Company and support all members within this department.

The office-based team that work from our distribution centre in Challock, near Ashford are all very driven, hardworking and close knit and they are looking for someone with the same values who would like to join them.

On a day to day basis, you will be required to arrange installations with our customers, manage diaries for both our installers and senior management, oversee customer care and any warranty claims, cover all reception duties (I.e. answering the phone, responded to emails, communicating with members of staff and suppliers), undertake the administration of stock control across our various showrooms, ordering of items by using our Purchase Order system, reporting of necessary payroll information and undertake any reasonable tasks to ensure the smooth running of the office and it continued growth.


Key Skills

  • Computer Literate (Good working knowledge of Word and Excel)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communicate skills
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads
  • You must be of a reliable and honest disposition
  • Be able to work of your own initiative
  • Not afraid to get your hands dirty, as you may be required to undergo Forklift training, to operate our Forklift on site, when required.


This is a full time, permanent position, working the hours of Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Starting hourly rate of £8.70, with regular reviews and chance of progression for the right individual.

POSITION: ASSISTANT SALES MANAGER - LOCATION: CHESTFIELD NR. WHITSTABLE

The Role:

Based at our display showrooms at Johnsons Garden Centre, Chestfield, 2 miles from Whitstable and 6 miles from the city of Canterbury, your day to day responsibilities will be assisting the Branch Sales Manager to achieve branch sales targets whilst ensuring the highest standards of customer service are delivered.

This will include identifying and following up all sales opportunities, actively managing sales leads and reporting on all outcomes. This would be from the initial qualification of a customer’s requirements through to the provision of an estimate, arranging a home site visit for the Branch Manager and following up until completion.


Key Skills:

  • Sales experience is essential but full product training is given
  • Highly self-motivating individual who thrives on delivering the best customer service while achieving their set goals
  • Ability to work on your own initiative to achieve sales targets
  • Confident manner and ideally some experience in selling face to face.
  • Excellent time management
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Office


The Package:

  • £18,720 per annum plus uncapped commission O.T.E. £27,000
